The Energy Industry has made great strides toward accessing and producing more hydrocarbons with less drilling, and for less money. These are two ways that Holifield Energy Company is attempting to contribute in this effort.
The first item is greatly enhanced by the extensive Holifield Data Base.
RE-ENTRY HORIZONTAL RECOMPLETION
Holifield is using the Re-entry Horizontal Recompletion with Short Radius Horizontal Drilling capabilities as part of this trend. Not only is it environmentally good; with the use of the extensive Holifield Data Base, it is more accurate and considerably less expensive.
The old vertical, or horizontal well, is re-entered and drilled out from a specified point to develop the targeted reserves.
Part of the installation of one version of the HOLIFIELD HYBRID LIFT SYSTEM.
This system is in advanced stages of development after two years of field testing and technology improvements.
Holifield intends to use it on hundreds of wells in this and other fields.
Recovery of an estimated 10,000 to 30,000 additional barrels of oil per well makes this project very worthwhile.
No new drilling is required to access these reserves.
